ABSTRACT
Objective
To compare the effects between dual-cycle intensive training mode (DCITM) of teaching-in vitro-in vivo-summary-in vivo-assessment and single-cycle basic (BTM) on graduate students majoring in cardiovascular surgery.
Methods
Eight surgery received coronary artery bypass vascular anastomosis under BTM or DCITM. Then were evaluated by scoring experts. Besides, SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used to analyze evaluation results.
Results
Compared with who BTM, postgraduates trained DCITM became more skilled anastomosis. In vitro, average number completed trainee increased significantly [(2.0±1.0) vs. (5.0±1.5), P<0.05] over a specified period time, leakage rate reduced [(92±5)% (30±2)%, P<0.05], time per shorter [in vitro: (20.1±2.5) min (12.6±3.3) min, P<0.05]. There also statistically significant difference each miniature pigs vivo: (30±2) (21±3) P<0.05].
Conclusion
Taken into together, is highly efficient for promoting quality cardiovascular-surgery-teaching enhancing effectiveness clinical surgical skills.
