ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to provide some important morphological, ecological and reproductive features 8 polyclad species from Tunisian waters belonging Acotylea: Echinoplana celerrima Haswell, 1907, Leptoplana mediterranea (Bock, 1913), Discocelis tigrina (Blanchard, 1847) Imogine (Galleni, 1976) Cotylea: Thysanozoon brocchii (Risso, 1818), Prosthiostomum siphunculus (Delle Chiaje, 1822), Yungia aurantiaca 1822) Prostheceraeus moseleyi (Lang, 1884). New data on distribution are added. Moreover, morphological provided for the first time in living specimens D. tigrina. Based our specimens, we confirm characterization two sub-orders Acotylea Cotylea that have been already made previous studies. Function attachment organs polyclads discussed. On other hand, dealing with associated fauna offered all species. acotyleans E. I. were seen cover their egg plates practicing thereby a parental care. This could be baseline future taxonomic behavioural investigations.
