Empowering Organizational Learning with Philosophical Tools of Lean Six Sigma in Service Sectors

ABSTRACT
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) has become a prominent methodology for improving efficiency and quality across various industries, including the service sector. However, its philosophical foundations are often overlooked, with many organizations focusing solely on practical tools. This study aims to bridge that gap by integrating LSS tools into organizational learning (OL) processes, enhancing understanding application. The research examines relationship between key tools—such as Leadership, Management, Culture, Change Employee Engagement—and core constructs of OL: commitment, knowledge, performance. training modules were implemented in an IT software development company Penang, Malaysia, designed specifically sector using Analyze-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate (ADDIE) model. A quantitative approach was used, Analysis Variance (ANOVA) applied questionnaire data collected from organization. results show positively impacted OL, leading improved performance, better knowledge dissemination, increased commitment. Although findings demonstrate benefits is limited single focuses only five Future should explore additional themes test different sectors broaden applicability results.
