Satu kajian berkaitan struktur komuniti dan dirian pokok telah dijalankan di Hutan Simpan Paya Pasir, Temerloh, Pahang. ini merupakan hutan dipterokarpa tanah rendah yang dibalak terkecil daerah Temerloh. Dua buah plot, setiap satu berukuran 20 m x dibina secara rawak. Keluasan plot adalah 0.08 hektar. Semua berdiameter pada paras dada (DBH) 5.0 cm ke atas ditanda diukur. Sampel dikutip, diawet dicamkan sehingga peringkat spesies. Sebanyak 96 individu daripada 38 spesies, 30 genus 22 famili dibanci. Guttiferae terbesar diwakili oleh lima Syzygium (Myrtaceae) pula empat Kelas DBH dibahagikan kepada kumpulan. Pokok Dialium platysepalum (Leguminosae) dengan diameter 50.0 DBH. Dipterocarpaceae hanya genus, spesies dua individu. Kajian menunjukkan Pasir mengalami kekurangan bernilai komersil. Namun lanjut saiz lebih luas diperlukan untuk mengesahkan pandangan ini.
