ABSTRACT
This study aimed to evaluate the hematological profile and relative condition factor of naturally parasitized Nile tilapia from 12 fish farms in southern Brazil. A total 240 were collected four regions state Santa Catarina. They anesthetized, blood was by puncturing caudal vein. Subsequently, necropsied for parasitological analysis. The results compared with Kruskal-Wallis test, correlations verified Spearman test ( P < 0.05). analysis revealed high infestations Ichthyophthirius multifiliis on gills south west regions. presence Trichodina magna compacta observed low intensity body surface all facilities. spp. found parasitizing northern, Itajaí valley western regions, nonetheless, those Monogenea, Cichlidogyrus sclerosus , halli observed. presented altered parameters, featuring monocytosis thrombocytopenia, possibly associated parasitic intensities. suggest that neutrophils monocytes are directly involved an organic defense against parasites. Monocytes mainly targeted I. .
