ABSTRACT
Objective:
To systematically evaluate and compare the surgical operation transarterial embolization (TAE) in treatment of hepatic hemangioma.
Methods:
The trials concerning TAE for hemangioma were searched from database, including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI) Wanfang Data. The retrieval time was establishment database to November 2016, references literature traced back. According inclusion exclusion criteria, selected scientific studies separately screened by two researchers. data extracted evaluated. RevMan 5.3 software used make statistical analysis.
Results:
Six identified as eligible this analysis included 521 patients with 326 treated 295 TAE. Our indicated that recurrence rates (OR=0.02, 95%CI: 0.00-0.08, P<0.05) group significantly lower than those group. Surgical had longer mean lasting (OR=1.25, 0.88-1.62, , hospitalization (OR=1.94, 1.50-2.39, recovery (OR=1.18, 0.44-1.91, P=0.002) Besides, overall cost (OR=0.25, -1.04-1.53, P=0.71) post-procedure complications (OR=3.42, 0.96-12.25, P=0.06) no significant difference between groups.
Conclusions:
Both are safe effective hemangioma. superior terms tumor recurrence. However, time, there treatments. As a result, strategy should be determined based on factors referred above.
