ABSTRACT
TGFB induced factor homeobox 1 (TGIF1), a transcriptional corepressor, has been reported to be involved in tumorigenesis and cancer development. However, the role of TGIF1 growth metastasis esophageal is poorly studied. In present study, it was found that highly expressed tissues cell lines. The silencing by siRNA interference significantly inhibited proliferation, migration, invasion epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT) process KYSE‑150 cells, promoted apoptosis. Correspondingly, upregulation proliferation metastatic potential Eca‑109 reduced Furthermore, data indicated Wnt/β‑catenin Akt/mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathways were knockdown, overexpression TGIF1. It also confirmed knockdown tumor growth, Akt/mTOR pathway activation, reversed TGF‑β1‑mediated EMT xenograft model. Taken together, study suggest plays an oncogenic progression cancer. may carry out this regulating pathways.
