A preliminary study identifies early postoperative lung volume changes in patients with non‑small cell lung cancer following video‑assisted thoracic surgery using CT volumetry

ABSTRACT
The present study aimed to investigate the changes in early postoperative lung volume patients with non‑small cell cancer (NSCLC) following video‑assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) and analyze effects of clinical characteristics on patients. Therefore, 38 NSCLC, who planned undergo VATS at Department Thoracic Surgery, Affiliated Hospital Guizhou Medical University June 2019, were enrolled into study. computed tomography (CT) scan data from was prospectively collected within 1 week preoperatively, 1, 3 6 months surgery, then subsequently analyzed.
