Cytogenetic analysis in catfish species of the genus Peckoltia Miranda Ribeiro, 1912 (Teleostei: Siluriformes: Loricariidae)

ABSTRACT
This study describes the karyotypes of three species genus Peckoltia (Loricariidae: Ancistrini). Fishes were collected in Jari (Peckoltia sp. 1 and 2) Xingu rivers vittata (Steindachner, 1881)) Amazon rainforest. Karyotypes 2n = 52 for (FN=102: 16 metacentrics (m), 20 submetacentrics (sm), 14 subtelocentrics (st), 2 acrocentrics (a)) 32 m + sm, 18st, 2a). 44 6st, 2a, 1B) had 53 due to a B chromosome. The differ chromosomal morphology. Nucleolar Organizer Regions (NOR) was identified within distal region long arm pair 9 vittata, 10 homologue 25 1, as well 17 18 2.
