ABSTRACT
During our investigations of saprobic fungi, five fungal collections from terrestrial habitats in China and Thailand were examined using both morphological multi-gene phylogenetic approaches (LSU, ITS, tef1-α, rpb2), resulting the identification three novel species: Helicosporiumrubrum, Neohelicomycesmaolanensis, N.subtropicus. Helicosporium Neohelicomyces are morphologically similar their asexual morphs but can be distinguished based on molecular data. In this study, new species, represents fourth sexual species within genus, characterized by yellow-brown ascomata fusiform ascospores. Detailed descriptions, illustrations, analysis results, corresponding notes provided to clarify distinctions between these related taxa.
