ABSTRACT
The present work studied the diversity of intertidal, epibiotic, and fouling barnacles in state Gujarat, northwest India. In total, eleven species belonging to eight genera five families were recorded study. Arabian intertidal Tetraclita ehsani Shahdadi, Chan & Sari, 2011 Chthamalus barnesi Achituv Safriel, 1980 are common high- mid-intertidal rocky shores Gujarat suggesting that barnacle assemblages similar Gulf Oman Ecoregion. biogeographical boundary between Western Indian ecoregions for should probably extend southward towards waters adjacent Mumbai, where Indo-Pacific dominate.
