ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The direct lateral approach to the hip as described by Hardinge in 1982 was used performance of 83 arthroplasties. This found give excellent visualization proximal femur and acetabulum have comparable operative time, blood loss, time ambulation, range motion other approaches. postoperative dislocation rate very low (2.5%) redislocations not occurred. incidence heterotopic ossification high (61%) this may limit use some cases.
