ABSTRACT
Gas hydrate samples were obtained firstly in China by drilling on the northern margin of South Sea (SCS). To understand formation mechanism this unique accumulation system, paper discusses factors controlling system accurate geophysical interpretation and geological analysis, based high precision 2-D 3-D multichannel seismic data area. There are three key gas fine grain sediment: (1) large volume fluid bearing methane Joins hydrate. Active flow makes both thermal and/or biogenic migrate into shallow strata form stability zone (GHSZ). The includes mud diapir chimney structure. They commonly characterized positive topographic relief, acoustic turbidity push-down, low reflection intensity profiles. chimneys can reach to GHSZ, which favors development BSRs. It means that active has a close relationship with (2) episodic process fracture plays an important role generation may provide passage along thermogenic or migrated (GHSZ) upward. And it increases pore space for growth crystal. (3) Submarine landslide induced anomalous overpressure activity GHSZ. model concentration sea area was proposed basis above analysis.
