ABSTRACT
To examine the association between hemoglobin (Hb) levels and cardiovascular risk factors in a large community-dwelling cohort.A total of 4,186 women 4,851 men were enrolled study. Data on personal history, physical examination biochemical parameters collected. Subjects categorized by gender divided into different group according to level Hb or blood pressure, was examined using Pearson's correlation analysis. In both even with normal level, tertiles positively associated body mass index (BMI), total-cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), uric acid (UA), diastolic pressures (DBP) fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (all P=0.000 women). Furthermore, significantly increased incidence hyperuricemia (P=0.000 women) obesity observed gradually level. In addition, analysis revealed obvious various including pressure UA. Binary logistic regression further demonstrated that an important factor for elevated (OR =1.216; 95% CI: 1.138-1.293, men; OR =1.287; 1.229-1.363, women).Increasing levels, subjects increasing prevalence factors, suggesting slightly low might be beneficial Chinese individuals.
