ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency vitrification and droplet for cryopreservation Hancornia speciosa shoot tips. The tips were subjected four different periods exposure (15, 30, 45 60 min.) plant solution 2 (PVS2) before plunging into liquid nitrogen. We evaluated regrowth H. that cryopreserved by classical technique technique.Shoot submitted pre-culture (absence, 24 or 48h) in a medium containing 0.3 M sucrose prior cryopreservation. With PVS2 period min., significant differences observed between two techniques used with respect rates; however, both methods allowed tip rate over 70%.Use preculture step increased tips.Shoot employing proved be viable long-term storage mangaba tree samples.
