ABSTRACT
With the objective of evaluating effect reducing crude protein (CP) and L-glutamic acid supplementation, Dekalb Brown laying hens with 34 weeks age. The birds were distributed in six treatments a completely randomized design, eight replications birds. control diet contained 17% CP. second third had CP reduced by 1.5 3.0 percentage points (pp) relation to diet, respectively. In fourth treatment, was added same amount glutamate (2.982%), last two 1 2 pp (3.982 4.98%), treatment 15.17% + 0.341% (T4) promoted higher egg production, showed greater weight than others treatments. There no significant on variables quality eggs. T4 presented values excreted nitrogen similar treatments, lower concentration uric cost production. conclusion, it is recommended for
