ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to describe the population structure and reproduction Macrobrachium jelskii from a stream in central region São Paulo State. A total 1,215 specimens collected monthly during one year (February 2008 January 2009), being 535 males, 578 females 102 juveniles. overall sex-ratio not significantly different expected 1:1, but has differed some months. 136 ovigerous were reproductive period continuous with peak occurrence on hottest An increase juveniles following highest frequency observed characterized recruitment period. fecundity low varied 1 56 eggs per female. biological profile here matched, general aspects, pattern developed by tropical subtropical inland populations, particularities related environmental characteristics.
