ABSTRACT
In order to reveal the effect of disturbance on species composition and detect indicator for gradients, we conducted an investigation urban forest communities along a gradient in Guangzhou, China. Species richness tree layer understory had no significant difference among but Simpson index, Shannon-Weiner index Evenness varied significantly.species diversity decreased with gradient. Multi-Response Permutation Procedures (MRPP) revealed high significance both different gradients. Twelve from 25 were detected characterize certain regime by Indicator Analysis (ISA). help enhance our understanding species-environment relationship, ecological response can be used monitoring environmental change.
