ABSTRACT
The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the mechanical properties, chemical and corrosion resistance four types metallic coatings: FeCr, FeCoCr, FeCoCrNi, FeCrNi sprayed through thermal spraying in electric arc on an anchor substrate type 95Ni5Al or 78.3Ni20Cr1. 4Si0.3Fe. five layers tested were deposited carbon steel support low alloyed obtained results have provided a picture regarding possibilities using deposits. Because these alloys are used increase wear tools, it very important know their behaviour saline environment, because contributions brought by would applicability domain materials (could be recondition tools naval petroleum industry). researches deposits been carried out several methods screen performance. Therefore, there done investigations microstructural morphology deposit, optical microscopy (OM) scanning electron (SEM). OM SEM sought determine degree uniformity amount pores oxides layer. physical properties coatings also evaluated adhesion porosity quantification. was exposing samples fog chamber. products formed surface investigated (SEM) analysis SEM. intermediate alloy 78.3Ni20Cr1.4Si0.3Fe as anchoring layer allowed reducing micro cracks frequently found ordinary alloy. It has observed that based NiCrCo good enough efficient coating aggressive marine environments.
