ABSTRACT
A multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/plasticized polylactic acid (PLA) composite was prepared using a two-roll mill set at 170°C and 50 rev/min. The material characterized dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA). Characterization works include obtaining properties, such as tensile flexural properties of the nanocomposites. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6 wt% used plasticizer for blending with PLA. It found that strengths nanocomposites increased up to 43.8 MPa 81.4 respectively addition 0.15 MWCNTs. DMA results revealed storage modulus glass transition temperature (Tg) improved CNTs, which previously reduced by incorporation PEG.
