Cutting Speed-Feed Based Parametric Model for Macro-Geometrical Deviations in the Dry Turning of UNS A92024 Al-Cu Alloys

ABSTRACT
This work reports on the results of a study different macro-geometrical deviation parameters, such as Straightness (SD), Parallelism (PD) and Circularity (CD) function cutting speed (v) feed (f) dry turned UNS A92024 (Al-Cu) cylindrical bars. The obtained have allowed establishing exponentials parametric model for predicting these deviations those parameters. As consequence that, geometrical surfaces SD(f,v), PD(f,v) CD(f,v) been developed this alloy. These allows determining marginal curves specific v f values, respectively, out parameter ranges employed. So, can be predicted through values considered in each alloys.
