ABSTRACT
By adjusting mass fraction of Ni-Al composite additive in Ti-B 4 C primary system, a series TiB 2 -based ceramic composites were prepared by combustion synthesis high gravity field. Because the adiabatic temperature whole reaction system maintained constant presence smaller than 18.55%, increasing to be 15% brought about improved homogeneity refined microstructure enhanced-densification composite, so flexural strength and fracture toughness increased simultaneously due enhanced self-toughening mechanisms contributed number fine platelets.
