ABSTRACT
The mechanisms to obtain and store skin toxins in frogs of the family Dendrobatidae are not completely understood. In order contribute understand how stored, we provide a histological description cutaneous glands species Phyllobates bicolor. The two adult was examined through three staining techniques (hematoxilin-eosin, PAS Masson Trichrome) using conventional optic microscopy. The bicolor contains types exocrine glands: mucous serous, which empty their products epidermal surface an intra-epithelial duct that leads stoma. The serous intercalated ducts surrounded by discontinuous sheath myoepithelial cells, colapse lumen acinus facilitate secretion release content. The have polarized syncytium tall cuboidal or columnar epithelial cells. Both mixed secretion, thus, contents tend be neutral basophilic, while basophilic acidophilic.
