ABSTRACT
Boron is an essential trace element which plays important role in process of metabolism and the function tissues. However, effects boron on intestinal cells African ostrich chicks are poorly reported. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate proliferation apoptosis cells.A total 36, ten day-old were randomly divided into six groups fed same basal diet supplemented with 0, 40, 80, 160, 320 640 mg/L boric acid drinking water for 80 days.Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) used test index intestine different group by immunohistochemical staining (IHC).Apoptotic detected Dutp-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL) reaction evaluated integral optical density (IOD).Results showed that significantly increased mg/L.TUNEL decreased groups, while high dose (320 mg/L), especially epithelium. In conclusion, low boron-supplemented could promote depress apoptosis, cause thus we found as a compensatory adaption. These findings may support optimal dosage protect development intestine, suppress it, or even has toxic it.
