ABSTRACT
Cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA) has emerged as a cost-effective and time-saving technique for excluding coronary artery disease. One valuable tool obtained by CCTA is the calcium (CAC) score. The use of CAC scoring shown promise in risk assessment stratification cardiovascular scores can be complemented plaque analysis to assess vulnerable characteristics further refine assessment. This paper aims provide comprehensive understanding value prognostic its implications patient assessment, treatment strategies outcomes. demonstrated superior ability stratifying patients, especially asymptomatic individuals, compared traditional factors systems. main evidence suggests that individuals with score 0 had good long-term prognosis, while elevated associated increased risk. Finally, clinical power develop new models could enhanced machine learning algorithms.
