ABSTRACT
End-stage hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is complicated by substantial adverse events. However, few studies have focused on electrocardiographic features and their prognostic values in HCM. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical manifestations value of electrocardiography patients with end-stage HCM.End-stage HCM were enrolled from a total 1844 consecutive April 2002 November 2013 at Fuwai Hospital. Clinical data, including medical history, electrocardiography, echocardiography, analyzed. Cox hazards regression analysis was used assess risk factors for cardiovascular mortality.End-stage identified 99 (5.4%) patients, averaged 52 ± 16 years old entry. Atrial fibrillation observed 53 mural thrombus 19 patients. During 3.9 3.0 follow-up, embolic stroke, refractory heart failure, death or transplantation 20, 39, 51 respectively. The incidence annual mortality 13.2%. Multivariate New York Heart Association Class (NYHA) III/IV entry (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.99; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.05-3.80; P = 0.036), left bundle branch block (LBBB) (HR: 2.80; CI: 1.47-5.31; 0.002), an abnormal Q wave 2.21; 1.16-4.23; 0.016) as independent predictors death, accordance all-cause failure-related death.LBBB are provide new evidence early intervention. Susceptibility events warrants further attention.
