ABSTRACT
Bilateral medial medullary infarction is a rare subtype of stroke.The typical heart-shaped appearance on magnetic resonance imaging pathognomonic for bilateral syndrome. Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia condition characterized by tortuous dilatation and marked enlargement the basilar vertebral arteries, it may cause posterior circulation infarction. We present case 55-year-old female patient with complaints speech disorder, regression in consciousness, difficulty breathing. Diffusion-weighted examination was normal arrival. In cranial after 24 hours, acute observed area. Time-of-flight angiography revealed vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia. this report, unique radiological accompanied dolichoectasia, which rarely reported literature, presented.
