ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Dendritic cells, T lymphocytes, B neutrophils, eosinophils, and macrophages all express the semaphorin 4D (SEMA4D) protein, which is involved in signal transduction, immunological reaction, as well regulation of angiogenesis. Moreover, it was suggested that SEMA4D acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells can alter cell cycle hinder apoptosis besides increasing ability to grow invade other tissues. Aim To assess serum level before after induction chemotherapy adult Egyptian patients with newly diagnosed myeloid (AML). Patients methods Serum measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay 30 AML starting then treatment addition healthy control participants who were matched age sex. Results more elevated than either or a statistically high significant difference ( P <0.01). higher completion =0.002). lower have chance attain recovery compared levels =0.001). Conclusion We concluded has role pathogenesis be used possible indicator aids diagnosis AML.
