ABSTRACT
Introduction: Pediatric surgeons dealt with cases of omphalomesenteric duct remnants, which presented various symptomatic patterns. Meckel's diverticulum was the most common remnant in this study, different signs and symptoms. The aim is to study remnants their presenting symptoms introduce a new variant patent vitellointestinal (PVID) describe how treat these variants duct. Materials Methods: This retrospective conducted 132 neonates children (102 male 30 female), who were operated at our institute containing persistent its derivatives. from January 2017 June 2018 institute. analyzed sign analysis based on following parameters – age, sex, sign, symptom, investigation, operative finding, postoperative complications. Results: In male-to-female ratio 3.4:1. band obstruction presentation (n = 48, 36.36%), while umbilical cyst 1, 0.75%) sinus least commonly present all We found PVID, an intact duct, but end obliterated. had not been included or reported literature. Conclusion: Omphalomesenteric are symptoms, like intestinal obstruction, discharge, swelling, pain abdomen etc. A PVID named end- obliterated here, may features obstruction.
