A multistate ecological study comparing evolution of cumulative cases (trends) in top eight COVID-19 hit Indian states with regression modeling

ABSTRACT
Background: The global pandemic of coronavirus disease – 2019 (COVID-19) has wrecked the very fabric mankind putting its survival at stake. prior knowledge trends cumulative cases helps in management epidemic by optimized allocation logistics and human resources. Materials Methods: An ecological study was undertaken to compare standardized top eight highly COVID-19 affected states India with linear regression modeling. data were sourced from Kaggle repository Unique Identification Authority India. coefficients models all compared using analysis covariance (ANCOVA). Results: It observed that evolution highest state Gujarat (b = 0.186, P < 0.001) followed Madhya Pradesh 0.166, 0.001), Maharashtra 0.159, Delhi 0.156, 0.02), Rajasthan 0.136, 0.98), Uttar 0.117, Tamil Nadu 0.091, Andhra 0.076, respectively. Conclusion: is seen ranking on basis absolute number are different. assist public health authorities governmental agencies providing right picture help decision making process during epidemic. following core competencies addressed this article: Medical knowledge, Practice-based learning improvement, Systems-based practice.
