ABSTRACT
Abstract This meta-analysis evaluates optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) results in macular telangiectasia (MacTel) type 2, a rare retinal condition marked by vascular abnormalities. We analyzed 26 studies for OCTA findings MacTel 2. examined parameters like best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), foveal avascular zone (FAZ), and superficial deep capillary plexus densities. The pooled mean BCVA was 0.37 log of minimum angle resolution (20/50). FAZ enlargement observed, with size 0.39 mm 2 . Foveal density (FDVD) parafoveal (PSVD) were significantly reduced ( P = 0.021 < 0.001, respectively). Parafoveal (PDVD) (FSVD) did not decrease 0.067 0.114, has unique characteristics, including FDVD, PSVD, enlarged FAZ. However, FSVD PDVD statistically patients. Future using more are required to expand our understanding.
