ABSTRACT
Hepatitis B virus is one of the transfusion transmissible infections. Despite availability hepatitis (HBV) vaccine and screening tests but still danger transmission via blood high in some regions. The objective this study was to determine trend seroprevalence over an 11-year period (2005-2015).In study, 355,083 donors were estimated for surface antigen (HBs Ag) seropositivity during 2005-2015 who referred infusion centers Lorestan province. Third-generation ELISA method used detect HBs Ag.The prevalence Ag 0.29% (1017). It decreased steadily from 2005 2015 (0.68% 0.12%) increased 2008 year. significantly (P < 0.001). decline HBV infection rates more prominent regular repeated donor's groups compared people donated first time 0.001).The result present indicated, city west Iran can be classified as a low-income region because low donors. Also first-time higher than other groups.
