ABSTRACT
The use of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is controversial in patients with COVID-19. aim this case series was to demonstrate the usefulness acute cardiovascular care settings COVID-19 infection.We enrolled 13 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection admitted critical unit our center from April 1, 2020, July 30, which performed. TOE performed by three cardiologists training echocardiography.The main indication suspected infective endocarditis four cases, venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation cannulation prosthetic mitral valve dysfunction two patients, pulmonary embolism and right ventricular prone position ventilation one patient. final diagnosis 11 discarded 2 patients. None operators result infected.TOE safe context infection; it must be well-selected cases a targeted manner.
