ABSTRACT
One of the most common types spinal diseases is spondylolisthesis, which in advanced cases requires surgical intervention. This study aimed to compare results L4-L5-S1 and L5-S1 vertebral fusion treatment high-grade spondylolisthesis.A design that randomized controlled trial. A total 70 consecutive patients who underwent surgery for spondylolisthesis at Al-Zahra Hospital Isfahan, Iran, were evaluated from July 2020 February 2021 (35 35 received treatment). The radicular low back pain (LBP) intensity (Vanguard Australian Shares), blood loss, wound infection, reduction, quality life (SF-12 scores) quantified before surgery, 1, 3, 6 months after two groups.Patients involved groups had similar baseline demographic characteristics. percent slip group, respectively, postoperative 81.11% 57.89%, P = 0.0001. Intraoperative loss higher group when compared (P < 0.05). infection rate was (8.6% vs. 2.9%, 0.303). There no difference LBP intensity, SF-12 scores among with 0.05).Both equally beneficial improving short-term functional outcomes high grade spondylolisthesis. However, associated statistically significant incidences but it accompanied by a better reduction. Therefore, caution should be exercised considering L4-L5-S1.
