ABSTRACT
This study aimed for a comparative evaluation of the antimicrobial efficacy calcium hydroxide, chlorhexidine gel, and curcumin-based formulation against Enterococcus faecalis.Thirty single-rooted teeth were taken. Access preparation was done. Biomechanical done using Protaper universal file till F3. Teeth decoronated to standardized root length 14 mm, apical end from outside sealed paraffin wax. autoclaved under standard conditions after autoclaving, Phosphate-buffered saline solution introduced into roots incubated 24 h check disinfection roots. Once achieved, wild strain E. faecalis, i.e., ATC 29212 strain, allowed incubate h. Following bacterial colonization inside roots, antimicrobials checked. The data obtained subjected statistical analysis paired t-test significance.Significant difference observed between all test groups. However, gel showed best value mean difference, indicating it as antibacterial medicament.Within limitations this study, can be concluded that better properties faecalis than other medicaments.
