ABSTRACT
Type 2 diabetes mellitus and Parkinson’s disease are chronic diseases linked to a growing pandemic that affects older adults causes significant socio-economic burden. Epidemiological data supporting close relationship between these two aging-related have resulted in the investigation of shared pathophysiological molecular mechanisms. Impaired insulin signaling brain has gained increasing attention during last decade been suggested contribute development through dysregulation several pathological processes. The contribution type resistance neurodegeneration disease, with emphasis on resistance, is extensively discussed this article new therapeutic strategies targeting link presented reviewed.
