ABSTRACT
Background: To investigage the thiol and disulphide levels in Helicobacter pylori -positive patients with non-ulcer dyspepsia investigate change these eradication therapy. Methods: This is a prospective observational study. A total of 320 diagnosed according to Rome IV criteria were included First, blood samples drawn from determine their serum levels. Endoscopic biopsy was performed on all specimens obtained examined pathologically. Patients positive for H. administered Blood second time, measured. The thiol–disulfide who successful treatment, those not, compared before after treatment. Results: mean plasma level decreased significantly 14.0 ± 6.6 10.9 5.9 μmol/L that responded treatment ( P = 0.033). On other hand, there an insignificant increase (341.4 30.5 vs. 342.6 29.8 μmol/L; 0.273) decrease (15.2 2.5 14.8 2.3 0.163) did not respond Conclusion: inflammation caused by shifted thiol–disulphide equilibrium cell redox system towards direction disulphide. study findings suggest restoration said hemostatic balance therapy relieved organism oxidative stress.
