ABSTRACT
Vegetable oil is a type of biofuel that renewable and capable reducing emissions harmful components in diesel engine exhaust. However, vegetable has several properties differ from mineral diesel, such as high viscosity large surface tension, making it unsuitable for direct use conventional engines. To overcome these drawbacks, solutions have been proposed, pyrolysis, blending, esterification, emulsification. Among these, the method blending with low-viscosity fuels considered simple highly feasible. This paper presents some research results on technical characteristics using diesel-ethanol-vegetable blended fuel.
