ABSTRACT
The mannose 6-phosphate/insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor (CD222, M6P/IGF2R) is a multifunctional transmembrane type I receptor, mostly localized intracellularly, less on the surface of all types mammalian cells. It known both to transport lysosomal enzymes through their 6-phosphate moieties and internalize extracellular ligands like insulin-like or plasminogen. CD222 involved in regulation cell proliferation, migration, T activation, apoptosis. Soluble has been found higher concentrations sera liver disease patients. In this study, we analysed level present body fluids, namely serum urine, cancer We significantly elevated levels soluble patients compared healthy controls irrespective disease. urine were increased specifically breast multiple myeloma. contrast serum, was within CD222-positive exosomes pointing different origins various human fluids. Based work, propose as general biomarker for tumorigenesis.
