ABSTRACT
Background: Therapeutic drug monitoring of antiepileptic drugs in children with epilepsy assists for personalized therapy but require numerous patient visits venous blood sampling. DBS is an alternative matrix applicable to home sampling which can save time and reduce stress this group. Results: A fast LC–MS/MS method quantification carbamazepine, lamotrigine valproic acid based on was developed. The showed linearity therapeutically relevant concentration ranges compatible unknown volume expected hematocrit range the Conclusion: three most commonly used has been fully validated clinically applied DBSs from patients at neuropediatric clinic Karolinska University Hospital.
