ABSTRACT
Major peripheral arterial graft infection is a potentially devastating complication of vascular surgery, associated with significant mortality and high amputation rates. Autologous saphenous veins are considered optimal conduits for lower extremity revascularization in infected fields, but they often unavailable or unsuitable these patients. This study describes two patients major infection, without available autologous veins, who underwent excision cryopreserved cadaveric allograft reconstruction. Although long-term durability unclear because gradual deterioration degeneration, findings suggest that allografts may be good options infection.
