ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVESStroke remains the second leading cause of death in Korea. This study was designed to estimate crude, age-adjusted and age-specific incidence rates, as well case fatality rate stroke, Korea from 2011 2020. METHODSWe utilized data National Health Insurance Services (NHIS) January 1, 2002, December 31, 2020, calculate rates 30-day 1-year stroke. Additionally, we determined sex computed age-standardized by direct standardization 2005 population. RESULTSThe crude stroke hovered around 200 (per 100,000 person-years) 2015, then surged 218.4 2019, before marginally declining 208.0 Conversely, consistently decreased 25% between When stratified sex, increased 2019 for both sexes, followed a decrease Age-standardized displayed downward trend throughout period sexes.
