ABSTRACT
Drought is one of the major factors limiting yield and quality crops in world. The activity antioxidative system to tolerate drought stress significant plants. In present study, activities isoform profiles catalase (CАТ), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), glutathione reductase (GR), superoxide dismutase (SOD) were analyzed four barley genotypes grown under soil water restriction. caused increase CАТ SOD all studied genotypes, while APX decreased. total GR increased substantially K 2778 St.Garabag 7 decreased No. 77 local St.Pallidum 596 conditions severe stress. No detectable differences observed isoenzyme pattern (the appearance a new isoenzymes disappearance another one) between control plants those subjected drought. However, intensification corresponding isoforms electrophoretic spectra was stressed leaves relative watered ones. obtained results possibly suggest that antioxidant protection could be attributed mainly CAT.
