ABSTRACT
Biomass is one of the most widely available energy sources and gasification a thermal conversion process where biomass transformed into fuel gas with gasifying agent. In this paper by using ASPEN Plus, new steady state simulation model for down draft waste was developed. The that stoichiometric equilibrium-based proposed to be used optimization gasifier performance. Prediction accuracy validated comparing experimental modeling results in other literature. Then comparative analysis performance sawdust, wood chips mixed wastes. model, operating parameters temperature equivalence ratio (ER) have been varied over wide range their effect on syngas composition, yield, low heating value (LHV) cold efficiency (CGE) has investigated. Raise increases production CO H2 which leads higher LHV CGE. However, increasing ER decreases lessens CGE but yield continuously because more oxygen reactions at high ER. optimal values mole fraction wastes are located 900°C, 1000°C 1000°C, respectively between 0.20 - 0.35 regardless kind as feedstock.
