ABSTRACT
Projecting future changes of streamflow in the Abby River Basin (ARB) is important for planning and proper management basin system. The current study conducted five stations Abbay river basin, investigated annual temperature, precipitation, discharge variability using Innovative trend analysis method, Mann-Kendall, Sen's slope test estimator. result showed a slightly increasing precipitation Assoa (Z = 0.71), Bahir Dar 0.13), Gonder 0.26) stations, while significant was observed Nedgo 2.45) Motta 1.06) stations. Interestingly, temperature Assosa 5.88), 3.87), 4.38), 4.77), 2.85) abruptly increased. average mean has increased by 0.2°C past 36 years (1980 to 2016). extreme high semi-dry zone northern Ethiopia. During period, declining recorded, sharply decreased from 1992 onwards. results discharge, area that could be used as basis studies.
