Research and Application of Anti-Collapse Lubricant Compound Polyalcohol for Water-Based Drilling Fluid

ABSTRACT
Polyalcohol is an environmentally friendly anti-collapse lubricant commonly used in water-based drilling fluids. It generally composed of the single polyether or polyol, but its lubricity and inhibition can’t satisfy application current fluid systems well. Consequently, laboratory has carried out research on compound polyalcohol. The samples are mixed with lauryl polyether, nonylphenol Tween 80 according to different proportions. cloud point, reduction rate lubrication coefficient linear expansion measured, change they caused should be observed. Then, optimal ratio optimized through orthogonal experiments. results show that increase content three kinds polyethers respectively enhances inhibition. When increases, point declines rises; when declines, it little effect coefficient; rises, first augments then basically remains unchanged. best mass polyether:TW-80:nonylphenol 6:3:4.
