ABSTRACT
Introduction: Prostate cancer is the leading urological cancer. It most common in men over 50. Objective: To determine epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of prostate hospitals Thiès region. Patients Methods: We conducted a descriptive study from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2020. included all cases primary confirmed on histology. Results: collected data 318 during period. Mean patient age was 72.7 years (Range: 49; 94 years). Family history found 22 patients (6.91%). The average consultation time 18.6 months. circumstances discovery were dominated by obstructive voiding disorders (97.16%). Digital Rectal examination suggestive 55.40% patients. PSA level above 20 ng/ml 76.7% Prostatic adenocarcinoma only histological type (100%). Localized represented 7.2% locally advanced occurred 36.5% cases, while metastatic accounted for 56.3%. Radical prostatectomy performed 3.18% cases. Mortality rate estimated at 8.50% after 1 year. Conclusion: Thies characterized predominance forms.
