ABSTRACT
In this study, the methanolysis of mixed crop oils (Hevea brasiliensis and Jatropha curcas L.) was investigated. Due to contain high impurities, a particular pre-treatment which carried out. For alkali-catalyzed methanolysis, few parameters (such as: molar ratio, catalyst percentage, reaction time) were studied. The results showed that optimum conditions 5.5 0.9% w/w catalyst, 60 minutes time with highest yield 98.9%. kinetics study indicated first order mechanism rate constant activation energy 1.5 × 10-2 minute-1 23.93 KJ?mol-1 respectively. As fuel, physicochemical properties biodiesel met standard values required by ASTM D6751.
