Selection indices to identify drought-tolerant grain sorghum cultivars

Twenty-five cultivars of grain sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] were examined under both drought stress and normal conditions in 4 experiments.In each condition, genotypes evaluated a factorial experiment using randomized complete block design with 3 replications.Eight tolerance indices including stability index, mean productivity (MP), geometric MP, harmonic mean, susceptibility yield index estimated for genotype based on (Ys) irrigated (Yp).The results indicated that there positive significant correlations among Yp Ys indicating these factors are better predictors than index.Based adjusted means at Ys, ©FUNPEC-RP www.funpecrp.com.
