ABSTRACT
Outbreaks of Ebola and Marburg virus diseases have recently increased in frequency Uganda. This increase is probably caused by a combination improved surveillance laboratory capacity, contact between humans the natural reservoir viruses, fluctuations viral load prevalence within this reservoir. The roles these proposed explanations must be investigated order to guide appropriate responses changing epidemiological profile. Other African settings which multiple filoviral outbreaks occurred could also benefit from such information.
